Description
The Saunders puzzle is a maze design that was patented by Samuel L. Saunders in 1904. It has been refashioned and produced by Robrecht Louage from Belgium. Robrecht is a designer of many interesting puzzles, many of which have been showcased at the IPP (International Puzzle Party) that is hosted each year around the world.
The Saunders puzzle is a maze puzzle. There are two discs joined together that each feature cut-out channels. The puzzle is made of trespa, a strong and durable pressed wood material, and the quality and finish are excellent.
The goal is to navigate the roving rivet through the maze by rotating the two discs until you reach a place where the rivet can be fully separated from the puzzle. (See large hole on the top disc that corresponds with a similar one on the bottom). There is an even greater challenge to get the rivet back to its starting position.
